  • I think this is a Blue Heeler?

I think this is a Blue Heeler but the pics I have seen online are different. Do you think it is a Mix or closer to a pure bread dog?

  • American Bully and BSL?

BSL is more common than ever. They typically Ban the 3 Pits, or mixes. Sometimes Dobermans and Rotties too. However, is an American Bully ever been included in BSL? What are there temperaments like? Are they a real breed or just a way to market a product?

  • How can I keep my dog from wanting to go out in the middle of the night?

My 3yo pit bull has always been a big drinker of water and pees a lot. I have him in a kennel a lot, and he has plenty of water. I try to walk him at night, and I bring him inside almost every night. After the walk, he always drinks some water. The problem is I hear a small yelp for him to go outside at least once per night, sometimes twice. I want to get a full nights sleep and this seems hard to do. If I walk him earlier, I stop the water at 8 pm and this helps but not always. Some times he has to make a BM, in the middle of the night. What can I do?

Also, he had a vet check when the problem was worse, and there is no medical problem with him.

  • What foods to cure Coprophagia. (eating Poop)?

My dog has been eating poop for several months. (Pit Bull) At least that is when I noticed it. I have tried several methods to keep him from eating it. I have use an additive and it seems to help but he still wants to eat it sometimes. My best guess is he has a vitamin deficiency. Vet check says he is healthy. What foods can I give him to help him get over this? What is the most common vitamin deficiency?

  • Is giving my dog rawhide a good way to release energy?

My Pit is aggressive and barks at people who walk by my house. He has made a lot of progress but still barks. If he ever got out it would be the end of him. I got him some rawhide to calm him down and it works very well. My question is: Is it a temporary release of tension or will it lead to him being calmer without the rawhide? Will he learn from the rawhide along with other techniques I use?

  • Define a Back Yard Breeder?

I want to breed French Bulldogs in my home. I would get a good female, tested for health and breed her with a male tested as well. If I sold the dogs for exactly what it cost me and agreed to take them back if the owner had to give them up, would I still be a BYB? Maybe a hobby breeder? I probably will never actually do it, but I am thinking about it. I really believe in adoption rather than buy. I also check out the price of a Bentley because I want one as well. It will never happen.

  • Is it right to ask all breeders to curb breeding in areas of over population?

I am sadden by the reports of dogs being killed because there are not enough homes to care for them. The Pit Bull is a good example. In many cities, they are killed because they are pits and hard to place. Is it right to require pit breeders to stop breeding until the problem is solved? It makes sense, but I don't want any breed of dog to disappear and we need good breeders to keep them around.

  • I just noticed my dog has white gums.?

He seems fine, but I don't think this is right. I thought about taking him to a vet but he is so aggressive, I don't think a vet will get near him for the exam.

  • My French Bulldog is scratching a lot.?

I changed his food about 6 months ago. I then noticed he was licking his feet a few months later. Then he was scratching his face. My vet said that maybe it was due to the change of food, but he was on the food for two months before he started scratching. I changed his food to a 3rd brand that was wheat, corn and soy free. He seemed to scratch less, but recently it started up again. How long can it take before he gets over his allergy? (assuming it is an allergy) What else could it be?
