Hey Ppl,

I have a Acer aspire 5745 Laptop with the following specs

i5 (1st gen) processor

4 GB ram (2x2GB) DDR3

500 GB HDD

Intel HD graphics

I am thinking of boosting my Lappy with the following config

4 gb ram to 8GB RAM DDR3

500 GB to 250 GB ssd

remove my Dvd drive and use a HDD caddy to use my 500 GB as my storage solution

Top it off with Windows 7 x64

What you think of this configuration? it is a decent laptop and it is 3 years old. I don't want to sell this and get another one as the re-sale value will be too low.

any suggestions on this is greatly appreciated

Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire 5745 (not the G version!) with i5 processor, Intel HD graphics,4 GB ram and 500 GB HDD. I have right now windows 7 Home premium 32 bit. The usable RAM is showing be 2.3 GB ram. I asked my Companys' IT team and he recommended me to install 64-bit windows 7 as the usable ram will be 3.90 GB.

The drivers which came with the laptop are 32 bit. Now my question is (1) if i install 32 bit drivers on a 64 bit machine will it work (2) if it doesn't work which driver updater software can i use ( i am looking for a free one / working pirated version cuz i'm cheap :-P ) (3) is this a good method to get more out of the RAM?

I am currently chatting with this girl. I am planning to buy a Seiko 5 automatic watch which is based on movement 7S26. My only concern is that I don't want to feel that the purchase is going to be waste because it can't keep accurate time. I have read that automatics have issues to keep accurate time and i want to know how to go about it.

My Aquarium got cloudy due to Overfeeding (noob mistake!!!) and due to which two of my Pangius catfish got injured. one of them has a eye & skin Injury. (pls see the link for the pic) and the other has a superficial wound.

So far it is very active and is swimming properly in the aquarium.it is no signs of sulking.

I have put anti-fungal drops to prevent any fungus to infect the wound. but apart from that is there any thing else i would i have to do?

What are the tips to improve the composition. Please be specific and keep it simple

Now I have read about prime lens and I have been told that the image will be far much better but HOW. these are my following questions.

1. If my kit lens @ f/3.5 correct exposure is 1/1.3 sec ISO-800 how much faster will prime lens 50mm f/1.8 give me faster shutter speed

2. If i am using FX format 50mm f/1.8 on the Nikon D3000 which is DX and I framing my photograph in which I need the corners. Will the corners be cut since I am using FX lens on DX sensor.

3. If I am using a prime lens will I be able to lower the ISO. like in the above example will i be able to lower the ISO say 400

I have a Nikon D3000 DSLR and a 18-55mm kit lens. I have learnt the basics and I am feeling I need to enhance my expirience with photography but I am stuck in between two lenses. ( since they cost almost the same)

1. AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED

2. AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G

Please advise me which one to go. Also please advise me how to use the apeture setting to ideal photo. My thumb of rule is "max apeture is better picture" but i don't get the required pic was having in my mind. Please help how use the apeture numbers effectively

HI I have Nikon D3000 with kit lens (APS-C format sensor) and I am having few questions

(1) if I can attach a full frame Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Lens to it and will it work

(2) Even if it works what will the difference in the image quality and its drawbacks on using a Full frame lens to a DX format sensor

(3) Should I go for this lens.

(4) is it Value for Money

(5) How to read the markings on the mentioned lens even if i get the chance to use it

Pls I don't need advice to go for Desktop since i am on the move I have a laptop.

I tried to play Prince of Persia (2008 reboot) which met the system requirements. but when i tried playing the game was moving frame by frame very slowly..If i update my driver will it render graphics properly.???
