  • Question about legal age of consent?

Imagine a man from a country where the legal age was 18, moves to a country (not permanently but long-term) where the legal age is 16. Would the legal age of consent of his native country (18) still apply? Or would he be living under a new legal age of consent (16)?

I am asking this because I am still confused about it. And what happens in the case of tourists from different countries? Would they fall under the law of the country they are visiting or the law of their native country?

  • Diagnosing depression without too many expenses?

A friend of mine - who I will call Clyde for privacy reasons - fears that he has clinical depression. After finally convincing him to seek help, I started searching for people who could diagnose Clyde. I was told that the only people who could do so were mental physicians i.e. shrinks. Unfortunately, every psychiatrist charges godly amounts per session and neither Clyde nor his parents (I'm not sure if they even know what he's going through) have enough money to afford regular visits until he can be properly diagnosed. Are there any cheaper alternative ways that could be sought?

I'm afraid for Clyde's life. He has already contemplated suicide twice, and acted upon his suicidal thoughts once using pills.
