  • What can I do if my two yr old kid cry loudly and the manager of the apt complaints?

I lived in the same apartment for 5 yrs with my two kids 8 and 2 yrs old without any complaints from neighbors or apartment manager. Now since a yr a new manager came. yesterday as I was on the hallway with my 2yr old coming to my apt, he cried little loudly for some silly demand and the manager happened to cross us at the same time. We were getting into the apartment and I was trying to console my kid when the manager came back and told me that I have to monitor my kid as he cries a lot .

It was 3pm . And the area we live in is noisy 24/7. Dogs bark on the courtyard whenever anyone passby. Bikes makes loud sound , some tenants pass the hallway during midnight laughing taking loudly and so on. In short all these things are allowed but a two yr old boy cannot cry. I did not say anything in return but felt really bad. My kids never used the courtyard to play even.

  • What else should I do to keep my kids moral high?

On the very fifth day of the school, my 5yr old got a note from the teacher saying he is very talkative. The school, teacher and the students were all new to him. Thereafter I kept on following on his behaviour in the class from the teacher and every time she used to say that he is "okay" and she will let me know if she is UNHAPPY with him. Whenever I asked about his other activities like reading, writing, behaviour with other kids, manners and other stuff she always answered that it is too early to say anything ( even in the month of Nov).

My kid can read and write like 3rd grade kids and is good in his behavioral conduct (his pre k teachers used to say and being mother I know that), but was talkative but not now. The school conducted the CELDT and he scored 5 out of 5.But never appreciated by the teacher at least not of my knowledge. And also I never told his teacher about his reading and writing skill as I as expecting her to notice that.

A month back my kid said he dont want to do his reading practice because that will not make his teacher happy. When I asked him what will make her happy? He answered that he has to write a note of "I love u" as other kids does and that makes her happy. Now a week back we made an appointment for parent teacher meeting on 2nd dec. So, all of a sudden he got another note for being talkative in the class.

My question is 1. what are the motivation that the teacher should provide so the kids love to go to school and love their teacher and studies unconditionally.

    2. Till now I just listen to the teacher and kept counselling my kid. How can I put my kids feeling to the teacher without offending her and leting her know that sometimes she should appreciate the good things too?

    3. What else should I do to keep my kids moral high?

    Please suggest.

  • How do I stop my 5yr old kid from taking in the class during his class curriculum?

My 5yr old son is little more talkative and asks lots of questios. Now today was his 4th day in Kindergrten and I got a note from the teacher that he is TOO talkative and interrupt her more often and I should talk to him on that.

I have never got any such complaints from his pre-k teachers. I am trying to figure out the reason why he is so and how could I make him listen to the teacher.

    Here it is.

    1. His daily schdule is..He gets up by 6am, does his bathroom stuff, takes bath, eat breakfast and go to school by 7:45am and come back home by 3pm. Then changes his cloths ,eat some snacks and do his homework . All these goes till 5pm. Then after playing little and watching one of his fav tv prog. finish his dinner and go to bed by 7:30 pm.

So is that he don't get enough time to talk about things??

    2. He can read and write.more or less like a 3rd grade kid.

So is that he is not interested in the basic curriculum of the class like learning how to write letter 'a'??

I talked to him and he is said that all the kids were talking and and so I was, which I know is a real silly excuse.

Right now I told him that no one will like him if he keeps on talking and disturb others. He MUST obey and listen to his teacher.

Please suggest me the best way I can convince him that he cannot talk in the class.
