I'm a voracious reader. So I can answer well to many questions from the books that I have. Also I'm an experienced Engineer and artist and musician.

  • What is a valid Mtech degree as per AICTE for becoming lecturer in Engg college?

I've passed B-Tech in Electronics and communications Engg from a reputed Govt college with 80%+ marks. Presently I'm working in an IT industry and have 3+ yrs of experience. Now I want to become a lecturer in an engineering college. But as per the norms in AICTE in India one must have an M-Tech degree in the relevant field. And I cannot leave my job for continuing higher studies.

My question is what type of M-Tech degrees are recognized by colleges? Do they accept Distance courses or part-time courses? OR only accept full-time courses?

Please let me know if any good part time or distance courses are available (preferably in West Bengal) that is accepted by the colleges, so that I may continue my job with studies. Also if they accept a valid GATE score if one doesn't have M-Tech?
