  • Honda VFR800. 1998 to 2000.?

Do you have a Honda VFR800 model between 1998 to 2000?

    HELP please.

With the bike on the center stand and in neutral. Could you answer the following questions for me.

    (Q1)

Upon turning the ignition key to ON you should hear the fuel pump energise (power up) and then the FI light on the dash will extinguish. If you hit the starter button the engine turns over and then starts. Is this what you would see as the normal procedure for your bike? Y/N

    (Q2)

Could you confirm that if the Kill Switch is in the Stop (off) position you can turn on the ignition and the ignition lights come on but the fuel pump wont operate and the FI light remains glowing? Y/N

    (Q3)

If you then move the kill Switch to Run (on) does the fuel pump operate and the FI light extinguish. Y/N

    (Q4)

If after placing the Kill Switch to Run (on) do you then have to then turn off the ignition switch and then back on to get the fuel pump to start up and then the FI light to extinguish. Y/N

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience.

  • Two Stroke Engine's Question. (mowers or boats)?

After using a two stroke mower or the out board two stroke boat engine, people are told to not just stop the engine and put it away in storage. Instead turn the fuel off and use up the remaining fuel in the carby and lines.

Therefor upon turning off the fuel the engine will idle for about two minutes until in the last few seconds before it stops the engine RPM rises quickly and then drops away to a stop.

Can anyone explain why in those last seconds there is this increase in engine RPM rather than say it just stopping??

  • Death by an Aneurysm?

I had a friend who died due of an Aneurysm. His death was instant, no warning, aside from a headache that started about 14 days before he died.

I have done a bit of reading yet remain confused. I have read that a Aneurysm is weakness in the wall of a brain artery, It then ruptures.

I can understand that this could lead to loos of ability to function and maybe even to kill a person over time as the blood gathers around the brain, (that is the person would begin to lose control of things as areas of the brain are affected) but I don’t understand how it can kill in an instance.

This is where my confusion comes into it. How can a person be functioning as normal, then be dead before he hits the floor.

It was like someone turned off a light. Now you see it, now you don't.

What happened to kill him so fast?

  • yahoo7 web page advertising.?

yahoo7 here in Australia now forces advertisements by inserting them not just on the web page, but its put over part of the questions text that I am trying to read.

Yet this forced over riding of the page content is not enough for them, they actually have these ads move up and down following the window.

Then to rub the salt in, this current advertisement shows a man urinating on a tree like his old fella is a fire hose.

Are you also annoyed by this?

  • Expected cost to marry a Hindu?

Is Hindu the most common religion in Taiwan?

I am told that when a Hindu plans to marry the engagement is the event that is celebrated more so than the actual wedding.

All the family and friends celebrate at the engagement party.

    Is that correct.

If everyone goes to the engagement party then what happens at the actual marriage service.

Who much would someone expect it will cost to marry a Hindu?

  • If we accept that the ice has already melted by 20%?

I have read of predictions from the science community that say we should expect our sea levels to rise by around 6 meters, due to global warming causing the melting of ice in places like the Polar Caps resulting in this water going into the seas.

Some claims say already about 20% of the ice from the polar caps has melted.

For discussion in here lets just say that 6 meters was a bit of an excessive claim and the true rise will be say maybe 3 meters.

If we have already melted 20% of the ice should we have already seen a rise of see level of 600mm.

    20% of 3 meters = 600mm.

If no rise I have to ask where did that that melted 20% water go?

Maybe we got the numbers wrong. Maybe its not Polar Caps 20% already melted. Maybe its 10% melted. In that case why is the sea water not 300mm higher than we would normally describe as the norm?

Is there any place on Earth that has seen sea levels risen by just a few cm?
