Hello there.. i am a 30 year old male of indian nationality who has recently moved to Sydney , Australia on a spouse visa. Its been almost 4 months now and i have been applyingfor jobs in the job portals here... and i am quite surprised that i have been rejected job all the times. I am a IT professional and have close to 7 years of work experience and it quite surprises me when i get rejected for almost every job i apply online. I tried applying for a few part time jobs at convenience stores etc.. and i have not heard from them till date. I believe that i have the the necessary qualification required to be an IT profession with 7 years of working experience in India. This is going to be my first job here in sydney and i wonder why i am being rejected job every time. I really worries me now .. and i was wondering if anyone of you out here could share your suggestions / thoughts about the current situation i am undergoing .. any relevant suggestion is highly appreciated.. many thanks in advance!!

Hi all.. i have a HP computer( 160GB SATA, 1 GB RAM ) on which i intially installed solaris 10 and then Ubuntu 9.10 as dual boot. The moment i installed the Ubuntu i was not able to access solaris at all.. the problem being the solaris 10 is not been listed in the ubuntu grub menu.. i tried going to all possible websites.. but still in vain. Most of the sites advise to update the menu.lst file in the ubuntu.. however i have no idea how and what has to be updated in the menu.lst file. This is how things are installed in my system

/dev/sda1 – xfs file system - / ( mount point ) size 76.30 Gigs

/dev/sda2 – unknown file system ( this is where solaris is installed ) - no mount point – size 72.75 gigs.

This is what i found in one of the sites.. but this does not work.. when i update it and check the grub menu it does not show up on the grub.

Hello people.. i am looking for some assistance with regards to Sun Solaris 10 SPARC installation. I have Ubuntu 9.10 ( Karmic Koala ) installed on my desktop system. Its a 160 Gb HDD and has been partioned as 80 Gb for Ubuntu and the remaining 80 gb is free space. I am planning to install Sun Solaris 10 SPARC so that i can have a dual boot on my machine. I have also downloaded the Solaris 10 SPARC from the sun website. The reason i wanted to install solaris Sparc on ubuntu ( i dont want to run it on a virtual machine.. i want it to be installed on my system as a dual boot ) is coz i am intersted in getting through the sun solaris system administrator certification and i would like to practise it at home. Pls let me know how the Sun solaris 10 SPARC can be installed on my Ubuntu machine with a dual boot. If it cannot be installed.. pls tell me on which application/ operating system can i practise for the sun solaris system administrator certification. Many million thanks for your prompt replies.
