How do I check the Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) on a 2002 Acura RSX?

LONG VERSION:

I bought a 2002 Acura RSX with VERY low miles (under 38,000) from a private party and has been babied by previous owner and myself (not sure if that would make a difference). Yesterday morning, the “Side Airbag Off” light came on for a little bit, then went out and stayed on for maybe about a minute on my way to work. It did not come on during the ride home. Then today it came on and flickered on and off a bit then stayed lit until the car was turned off. I was in the car alone both of these times. When you turn the car back on, the light is off (all indicator lights light up so there isn’t a problem there).Now I know what the light means, and some ways that can trigger it, but this light has NEVER came on before. (Maybe it’s a subliminal message to take a day off lol)

I have had the back seats down for a while and there is some stuff back there-like small folding table, etc. Not sure if this kind of stuff could possibly set something off. Is there any way for me to check the sensors myself and avoid an unnecessary trip to the dealer? I tried to research this issue a little bit, but all of the resources explain the issue as it pertains to your passengers, mention some kind of warranty, but not a good way to check it out. Can anyone give me some ideas or info (without being a smartass)-driving with it on is getting distracting.

I live in Pennsylvania, and have Collision on my Nationwide insurance policy. with a $500.00 Deductible. My 1999 Hyundai Tiburon was declared a total loss and I was at fault. It had about 104400 miles, A/C, and a rear spoiler, an aftermarket cd player that I had removed to use in another car. I apparently didn't have a rental car option on my policy, so I am paying for that out of pocket.

Before the collision-car was in good shape a few scratches and dents, nothing major, inside was clean, no damaged interior-car was well taken care of. Had some "sunburn", but the car had it when I bought it. Car was purchased about a year ago- for $4500 from a dealer.

My insurance adjuster called me today, and gave me a total claim amount of $3100, minus my $500 deductible would be about $2600.

I feel this amount is a bit low-not that I am looking for a fortune, but even $3000 in my pocket would be nice. Now I didn't agree to anything, and claim will not be complete unless I send them the title.

I am waiting for them to send a copy of the paperwork for my review, and was wondering if there are any questions I should ask them, or look for things in the estimate that are missing and/or shouldn't be there. Should I negotiate if it isn't a fair price, and how should I go about it?? Any info/advice would be very helpful-without comments about how females can't drive :(

I currently have a monthly plan with Verizon with a BlackBerry Curve. I began this plan in Sept, so I know I can't upgrade, but the 29.99 a month for the internet/data use is getting to be a bit much on top of the regular plan costs! I don't want to get rid of the phone, but maybe just switch to a regular cell for awhile. Can I just buy one of the cheap prepaids like you see in Wal-Mart, or would I be better off getting one from Ebay? I don't want any unlocked phone (they seem shady), but would rather have a previously used Verizon phone. Which would be the best route to take? And can I still get an insurance plan on a used phone?

I accidentally deleted my Music file, and had to do a file recovery to get them back. But now instead of the original title, it has generic titles such as Dc83.mp3. Is there any way I can find out the original names of the songs. There's too many to try and figure it out by ear...

I am currently in a dispute with the finace company with whom I have a car loan. Back in Dec. they sent a letter stating they never recieved my Nov. payment. Since I had a copy of the money order stub, I wrote them a letter indicating m.o.#, date purchased and the amount, and asked that they please review their records. In the mean time I called the m.o. company to see if it was possible to get a copy. Their records indicate it was cashed on Nov. 13th. Meanwhile the finace company is hounding me for payment, as I am waiting for the copy to prove that they cashed it. So when I recieve proof of deposit, I want to send them a letter to request they update my account, remove any finance charges & credit me the $15 for the m.o. trace. I would also like them to send me proof that they have done so. So any advice on how to write an effective letter that will get results. Are they even under obligation to do so, as technically it was their error?? Help!!!

I rent an apt. in an old building. My boyfriend is not on the lease, but does stay at my place occasionally. One side of my apt. faces out to a brick wall, with approx. 4' to 5' between the buildings. I am not sure who owns the next building-it used to be an old bank, and now stands empty. To make a long story short(er), on Dec. 20th something hit one of my windows on that side, causing it to crack. When my bf tried to open the window to see what it was (it appeared to be a rain gutter that may have been filled with ice due to weather), the window and part of the frame broke out and a huge piece of glass went thru my bf's thumb, requiring 12 stitches and a large upcoming E.R. bill... I know I need to notify the landlord about the window, but I'm not sure what steps I should take after that. Who should be required to pay for hospital bills/repairs?? Should we even bother?? Any advice would be great :)

I would like to get some old Gameboy games to play on my Gameboy DS. I am one of those people who hate playing video games without instructions, and it's hard to find old games with an original manual. Are there any good websites out there that have a directory of Gameboy game instructions. Any other ideas would be helpful, too :)

I have a manual '96 Saturn (don't be jealous :P). It seems after it has been running for awhile, it gets hard to shift it into gear. It effects all gears, but 1st and 2nd are the worst. It gets to the point where it's almost impossible, and you basically have to slam it into gear. Anyone know what could be the problem?

I eventually want to start making handmade soaps to sell at local craft fairs and perhaps even online. However, with summer coming up, does anyone know some techniques to help so the soap won't melt in the heat? Also, what are the best ways to package the items? Thanks!
