  • Which is the best place to stop for the night on the road from LA to Las Vegas?

    I arrive at LAX at about 10pm and want to see some of the desert during the day, so I don't want to drive straight through the night. I need help on picking the most convenient/best town to find a motel at. Thanks!

    Do you share your birthday with someone famous, dead or alive?

    I share mine, August 7th, with Elizabeth Bathory. If you don't know, she was a Hungarian Countess who slaughtered young women in the late 16th, early 17th century. No accurate numbers exist, but she is said to have killed at least 50 and up to 200 young girls and women.

    She was also rumoured to have bathed in their blood, to preserve her youthful looks, but that is mostly considered a myth, as is her practising vampirism and drinking the blood.
