  • Problem playing audio/video files on my laptop.?

    I have a Dell Inspiron n5110 laptop with windows 7 home premium 64-bit OS.

    I could play all my audio/video files without any problems till yesterday, today when I start the videos, they wont play properly!

    I have no audio in VLC, windows media player either cannot recognize the format or cannot locate the file (I have not moved any file). I tried media players like KM player, Real player, QuickTime player, but in all of them I have no audio.

    Interestingly, though, the files play perfectly with Prism video converter and Windows Live Movie Maker.

    This is also not a speaker issue as there is no sound with headphones either.

    And I have no sound issues while playing games- the sound is same as before there.

    Please help me out asap.

    PS- I am able to play videos on the internet without any problems.
